NORTH CAROLINA WATERFALLS
WATERFALL ON TOMS SPRING BRANCH (3)
Driving Directions: From the junction of U.S. 64, U.S. 276, and N.C. 280, drive north on U.S. 276 for 5.1 miles to F.R. 475 on the left. Turn left and drive 3.8 miles to a parking area on the right and a gate for F.R. 137.
Hiking Directions: Hike gated F.R. 137 or the red blazed Daniel Ridge Loop Trail for 0.13 mile to the fork. Turn right at a sign for the falls and continue 0.32 mile to a view of Toms Spring Falls on the left. Continue past Toms Spring Falls. At 0.81 mile from the trailhead, come to a fork. Turn left. The right fork leads to Cove Creek Group Camp. Continue 0.75 to a spur trail on the right that leads a short distance to the falls.
To make a loop hike, continue 0.15 mile past the Waterfall on Toms Spring Branch to the red blazed Daniel Ridge Loop Trail on the left. Turn left onto the Daniel Ridge Loop Trail and hike 1.22 mile back to F.R. 137.
