WATERFALL ON CAMP BRANCH (2)
Driving Directions: From the intersection of U.S. 441/23 and U.S. 64 in Franklin, drive 3.7 miles west on U.S. 64 to Old Murphy Road on the right at Mount Hope Baptist Church. Turn right onto Old Murphy Road and drive 0.1 mile to Wayah Road (S.R. 1310) on the left at a Citgo gas station. Turn left onto Wayah Road and drive 5.1 miles to F.R. 316 on the left. Turn left on F.R. 316 and drive 0.15 mile to the end of the road.
Hiking Directions: A gated road heads to the right. Don’t take it. Instead hike straight ahead on a road blocked by a large rock. In 516 feet, reach the remains of an old concrete building on the right. Follow the road to the left of the building and reach the remains of another smaller concrete building on the left in 0.13 mile. Turn right at this building and cross the creek. At 0.15 mile (0.02 miles from the building) reach a small side path on the right that leads to the base of the first falls. Continuing on the mail trail for a short distance will lead to an upper falls.
Hiking Directions: A gated road heads to the right. Don’t take it. Instead hike straight ahead on a road blocked by a large rock. In 516 feet, reach the remains of an old concrete building on the right. Follow the road to the left of the building and reach the remains of another smaller concrete building on the left in 0.13 mile. Turn right at this building and cross the creek. At 0.15 mile (0.02 miles from the building) reach a small side path on the right that leads to the base of the first falls. Continuing on the mail trail for a short distance will lead to an upper falls.
